My hair's all screwed up again.
Yes, I know, I think about it too much. But try getting something off your mind when it's that close to your brain.
I did champagne blonding again a month ago... but this time I seem to have fried it a bit. It's all fritzy and there seems to be no intermediate state between frizzy and greasy. What i'd really like to do is go back to this cool aqua stuff I had a few years ago, but since I'm a corporate whore now, that's not a possibility. I might (gasp) actually let it grow out and then just try and match the roots. That way I won't be stuck on the endless rollercoaster of haircolor.
Other news: I felt cranky last night because I called up an old friend who had sounded depressed in email. However, on the phone, he was quite perky, and actually kind of shooed me off the line after a while. I don't know why this made me cranky: I guess I was just all psyched up to be nurturing and consoling and then found my whole maternal act wasn't needed. Or maybe I was just cranky. This will come as a great surprise, but it does happen from time to time.
I got a 20% off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond, a store I normally dislike, but 20% is 20% (christ, I sound like my mom). So I'm making a list of all the housewares I still need:
Vacuum, 2 halogen floor lamps, bedside table, end table, ironing board, hangers, navy blue fitted sheet
And want:
Popcorn popper, new dinnerware, new silverware, 3 ball candles, japanese accent lamp, picture frames, ritzy comforters, new pillows.
Keep in mind that these are only my houseware "wants". I also want a new TV, stereo, DVD player, and computer. Hey... spending oneself into oblivion is patriotic.
What I'm actually going to do is pay my bills this month and save the coupon until I've got some savings. I don't want to go into debt: I managed to put myself through 4 years of school without owing anybody anything. Currently I owe about $1800 bucks for furniture and miscellaneous expenses on the credit card. This gives me the wiggins. So no shopping for me until all that's taken care of.
